Recent Events
In a recent trip to Georgia, I was the kickoff speaker for the Georgia History Festival celebration in Savannah honoring Juliette Gordon Low, sponsored by the Georgia Historical Society. See the short TV segment on Savannah's NBC affiliate. I then went to Atlanta where I signed books and talked with Girl Scouts about the craft of writing biographies at the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Headquarters. At the festivities for Girl Scout Day at the Capitol, where I attended the Women's Legislative Caucus Luncheon, I gave Georgia's First Lady Sandra Deal a copy of First Girl Scout.
Recently visited Sleepy Hollow Elementary School in Orinda, CA to read from Camping with the President and discuss John Muir.Upcoming Events
Speaking and signing First Girl Scout for girls and the public at the Girl Scouts - Heart of Central California Program Center, 6601 Elvas Avenue, Sacramento, CA, on March 4 from 10:30am to noon. Then speaking and signing for the Girl Scout Alumni Association members from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
Appearance and book signing at the Girl Scouts - Heart of Central California centennial celebration on April 28 from 10am to 4pm at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds in Sacramento, CA.
Presentation to about 80 Girl Scouts at Glorietta Elementary School in Orinda, CA on March 5 at 1pm.
East Bay Stanford Women's Book Club - book talk about First Girl Scout and coffee on May 3 from 9:30am to noon (location to be determined).
Appearance and book signing at the Northern California Girl Scout Council’s Centennial celebration at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds in May 5, 2012 from noon to 2pm.
Participating in the Nonfiction Book Blast Panel at ALA/Anaheim in June of 2012 (more details to come).

Orinda Books in Orinda, CA on March 10 from 1 to 3pm.
Bloomingdales at the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, CA on March 14 from 4pm to 5pm in connection with a Girl Scouts of San Diego Council event there.
Warwick's in La Jolla, CA (the town where I grew up) on March 15 at 7:30pm.
School Visits
