Ginger Wadsworth    about me

  • My husband, Bill, and I live in Northern California with our two dogs, Willa and Scout.  We have two sons. Mark lives in Truckee, California with his wife, Stacy, our two grandsons, Justin and Collin, and our granddaughter, Zoe. Mark is a Captain at the Truckee Fire Department. Stacy is a nurse in Grass Valley. Our youngest son, Dan lives and works in New York City.

  • I received a degree from the University of California at Davis in English and American History.

  • I come from a creative family.  My father, Hal G. Evarts, made his living writing westerns, plus adventure novels for young adults. This is a picture of him visiting a school in the San Diego, California area.

My mother, Dorothea, was an artist and teacher.  One grandfather, Hal G. Evarts, Sr., wrote popular western and adventure novels in the 1920s and 1930s, as well as stories for the Saturday Evening Post and other magazines.  My other grandfather, Clinton G. Abbott, was an ornithologist and the director of the San Diego Natural History Museum in California. I have two brothers. Both live and work in California. Bill is a professional photographer and writer. John and his wife, Margie Popper, are publishers (Cachuma Press) of award-winning natural history books.
