  • Pick your favorite animal and write a story about it.

  • Write a nature journal for a week or more.  Be sure to write down everything, but especially the sounds you hear out your back door.
  • Search the Internet to learn more about animals that are threatened or endangered, such as desert tortoises and black-footed ferrets.
